Sohrab Mirmontazeri

Iranian-born film director named Filmmaker to Watch by Digital Filmmaker Magazine UK after winning the 2005 Audience Choice Award from the New York Int'l Film Festival for his first film "The Beautiful Wind". He was immediately signed to direct the $8 Mil. Iraq-war Epic "The Camel Wars", but was later released when the budget rose to $42 Mil. and director John McTiernan (Die Hard, Blade Runner) was attached.

Mirmontazeri has spent seven years in independent filmmaking, with over twelve narrative directing titles, including the feature film, "Blue Door". Mirmontazeri is also an avid photographer, writer, graphic designer, and sought after Assistant Director with five feature films in the last two years.
Currently he sits at the helm of MIrmont Pictures, a Film and Television production company which over the past six years has produced work for CBS, Sundnace Channel, HBO, AT&T, Frito Lay, MTV and countless narrative and documentary film projects. MIrmontazeri is also the recipient of the Utah Film Critic's Choice Award and holds a degree in Film Production from Full Sail University.
